Is this what normal is?
I just experienced a "normal" moment!
Today I had new furnance, A/C and water heater put in. They were all very old and though I had two husbands, neither took care of anything in the house. I have been doing it all on my own. But that is another thread.
What I wanted to share happened after the work was completed, I was reminded that I needed to schedule a maintenance check in 6 months. As I was putting the car in the garage I began to feel overwhelmed b/c I was also reminded that my car needs its check up next month. Then it is the annual checkups for me.
It was at that moment when I started feel overwhelmed that I realized that for the first time in my life I am "scheduling" actually "planning" for things in advance. No more I will tend to it when needed. No more surprises! I feel taken care of and less concerned.
I now know who to call when things need repair. I take care of myself. Just had to share my "ah-ha" moment.
