Today is our 1 month separation and we have actually been talking very civil I tell you about needed things- a car that is having a problem of my son's - getting our bills straight. AH was being nice - it was shocking. Well- today he heard through a friend that I was buying a jet ski and the ugly volatile angry AH I left reared his ugly head. All the name calling started - the accusations, the threats.. I said ok- not talking to you anymore - have a great day. It truly was a gift - I was really starting to miss the Nice AH and this was my reality shocker from HP. Thank you HP. A leapard does not change its spots. I am so doing the right thing

I was pondering this same little blessing the other day.

I equate it to having my window open next to me while I work. I hear the birds singing, the neighborhood dogs barking, the horses grazing....sounds of spring. Then some nimrod next door decides to spend an hour adjusting the carburator on his motorcycle and the engine noise and eventual fumes coming through the windows make me want to consider serving time for homicide. AAHHH. Then I remember, Oh yes, reach up close the window, back to work. There now, all better. Sigh of releif.

It's just that easy. Necessary contact with an addict become unnecessary, just shut the dang window.
