Lightbulb Passed a NLD test tonight *****!!

NLD stands for No Longer a Doormat

BF stated he has a friend in the real estate business and they will partner to sell some houses.

And if he could use one of our rooms for the office

I wondered how it would feel like feeling uneasy in the apartment I pay for! I am glad to say it was a HORRIBLE feeling. Before it would have been a yucky EXCITED feeling of "helping out someone"!

I said No.
He said it was for our good, I said there were many other places.
I suggested they used said friend's home. He said "his wife wouldn't have a problem with that" so I said "then you got it solved".

He said it was too far away.
I said children walk miles for school day in many places and he can't drive 20 min? and asked him if he was a child or a man? if he thought money came without effort?

Point was taken and he said it was OK for me to say no. He will seek somewhere else, and I keep my mess and my lunch time and my home for myself.

I would have never thought feeling nauseated would feel great, LOL :ghug3

Uh huh! And to think the human male is king of creation and the smartest "animal" on earth. Scary isn't it?

God bless

The first few times, we feel nausea. But it gets better. Eventually, it's just a statement of fact: "I don't want this xx in my life; it's not the best option for me." - and the emotional turmoil doesn't come. We have the responsibility to BUILD our confidence, by making decisions in our best interest, protecting ourselves.

AND, we have the right to do this.

This has been a big aha lesson for me, in my own path of recovery.

Hahaha, good for you!

I took that test yesterday, and passed with flying colors as well! Someone tried to manipulate me into doing something I already told them I wasn't going to do. Man when I think about the old days, and how quickly i would have jumped and said "i'll help you out, even though I'm exhausted" I get sick to my stomach.

Is there like a gold star or something we can put next to our avatars?
