TOPIC: Having The Right Person In A Divorce

Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

By the grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
"POISON" since 8-11-90.

For that and you I am truely
grateful.

I had the right person with me
during my divorce proceedings.

Having someone knowledgeable,
older and wiser to help me was
a complete blessing.

It was suggested and advised
to me to not verbally commun-
icate with my spouse during
my divorce.

Each of us were living in 2
different states which allowed
us to have the proper distance
to not see each other.

Allowing the lawyers to handle
the paper work was also a blessing.

In recovery, we have an abundance
of resources that can help us in
keeping the cost down.

For me, an at home mom I had
no finacial support when i separated.

However when i reached out to
someone in recovery for help, it
was thru them that connections
were made and helped me complete
my divorce with little to no stress.

No verbal communication in case
emotions of anger frustration arose.:react

:tappingNo matter how much i wanted to
chew my spouse out, someone older
and wiser helped me contain those
feelings and proceed on.

Divorces dont have to be ugly.:a043: There
is a healthier way to go around it.

Today im remarried, happy, joyous
and free thanks to the program of
recover and Faith from above.

I can't get any help with my divorce, and I've called and emailed and everything else I could think of.

I am waiting to hear back from a low fee place though. Hopefully they'll pick my case up.

I had no idea yrs ago that I would
actually get divorced. Always admired
folks that stayed married forever.

Many times i wondered how i
would go thru a divorce and
beable to live on my own.

Over the course of my 25 yr
marriage, i was so unhappy
and oftened wrote in a journal
my thoughts and prayers.

As long as I kept doing what
was suggested in recovery then
all would be taken care of and
ok.

Sure enough in my HP's time
it all happened according to
His plan.

With several job appications
and interviews the right one
came thru for me. My ticket
back home here to Baton Rouge
where i always wanted to be.

My spouse helped me move,
get an apt., new computer,
came with me to my bank
job interview, car....

I was set....however the
distance between my husband
and I living in 2 different states
wasnt right. So we decided
divorce was best.

He didnt want to leave his
job and I didnt want to live
in Tx unhappy.

Concentrating on my new
job and at the beginning
stages of the divorce, a
yr later my HP sent me to
a new AA meeting one Sat.
morning. The same day my
now husband poped in.
This too was his first time
at that meeting.

If my HP wasnt there to
orchestrate this meeting
then i dont know who was.

Everything works out the
way it is suppose to when
I leave it to the Man upstairs
to do His job.

Im in good Hands always.

We met in Sept. 2007.
Divorced June 2008.
Married Feb.2009.
