Oh Joyful Day..not really :)

So, things move along. My AH is now wanting me to pay:

Alimony until the divorce
Permanent alimony
All his attorney and court fees
and to reimburse him for all payments made toward the maintenance of the family home and motor vehicles, including principal, interest, taxes, insurance, maintenance and repairs.

Mind you, I didn't work during the marriage.

I'd have to say that his logic and reason wires are still a bit crossed, even if he's still sober.

It is indeed madness, seeing as it's his house and was his house prior to our marriage. I mean, duh.

It's sad though, to watch this like a trainwreck you can't stop staring at.

Oh, and I deserted the poor man, and now he can't support himself - though he paid out the nose to support me while I was there.

:/

Doesn't want much does he?

What if you didn't have paid employment during your marriage?

Who cared for the house, meals etc, and had to tolerate a drunken man who could not fulfil his promises as a husband.
Maybe you could charge him for "false pretences" in that he pretended he was a real man.

May his wishes deflate, along with his hot air comments.

God bless

I didn't work during the marriage, I took care of him. He was very ill most of it.

I should charge him for healthcare and home renovation.

And for my mental distress. LOL.

I would let him know that you consider you worked during the marriage, and that the courts have recognized homemaker, as having as much compensatory value as paid outside work.

Make a detailed inventory of all you did, house work, your contiribution to renovation of HIS home, caring for him and nursing duties, and if his illness was the result of his drinking....make sure that is noted. As for your mental distress, why not ask for some compensation from he who caused so much.

He wants to play rough and tough.....let him find out what realtough means.

God bless

I intend to do just that Jadmack, you are absolutely 100% correct. It's just difficult to figure out how to do it since I don't have any legal help.

(yes, I've called every single free or reduced rate place around)

This type situation isn't covered in the do it yourself books.

It occurred to me yesterday, this is just a continuance of his manipulations, control, and abuse. He threatened to have me evicted from the home - yet he left me penniless and stranded. He wanted me to leave (cause I wasn't playing his game anymore) - yet he wants me to take care of him permanently.

Maybe I'm wrong and it isn't control, it's just pure insane delusion.

You are right dearie, your ah seems delusional, as well as controlling, manipulative and a selfish, self centred and vicious drunken mess. There, have I covered it all.

Can you get legal help, with ability to pay after case is done? With luck, ol' misery may have to foot the bill.

God bless

I've asked attorneys about that, doing the "make him pay for my legal expenses" thing. No takers.

I'm not going to sweat it too much, they can't get blood out of a turnip.
