That was one big challenge for my ABF to deal with. Seeing his friends, who are ALL heavy drinkers. He saw his friends the other day for the first time since his alcholism realisation, he had 2 beers. I could see it was very difficult for him to do this. He shuts down, isolates himself from the world. He isnt interested in going out socially or spending time with me and my friends and family, (just me and him alone).

So does he just isolate himself, get new friends or try and deal with his old friends and somehow deal with being around them while they drink? Who knows...but Im not sticking around to find out.
