From work I am going straight to Alanon.

I hope they are open and I got their schedules right.
And that they did not close for holidays like 90% of this town.

Yes, I feel powerless again. Without anti depressants to get me through the working day.

Last time I tried to go to one it was an empty building

If that fails, I hope there is a dance lesson tonight.
And that the gym did not close for holidays like 90% of this town gyms.

If that fails, I will go to the AA room I know. It always helped me.

And if that fails, Melody Beattie is waiting for me at home. And the Tae Bo DVD from Billy Blanks.

Thanks. Now that I got Plans B and C and D, I feel better.

I envy it too!

I also envy the way X seemed to go through the day without a care. I have bills to pay and stress and pets counting on me. He always had someone to take care of all that for him. Sooo jealous of that. Where's my enabler?

Some days I had a plan b, plan c, d, e, f, all the way to z. You'll find your serenity one way or another. Never give up!

Sorry for your bad day.

I think that ability is powered by rivers of alcohol and so when looked at from that angle, not to enviable.

Thumper I love your signature quotes.

I used to envy the way my ex could completely shut off. I mean, he could make himself emotionally closed for business. No matter what emotions I was feeling, he wasn't feeling any of it. It became an unfair advantage in every fight where he could coldly deliver the most horrible statements and I had no choice but to wallow in the pain it inflicted. I could never use the same callousness to retaliate, I did not have it in me.

But...tt's that same ability to shut off that also keeps him from really feeling, and that I don't envy.

Excuse me while I keep answering my own older threads.

I no longer envy that. There is nothing to envy about someone in denial.
