Pennsylvania police have charged a man with public drunkenness after reports that he tried to resuscitate a long-dead opossum on a highway.

BBC News - US man 'tried to revive dead opossum' in Pennsylvania

I dare anyone of us codependents to "outdo this"

If I'd seen this anyplace else but the Drudge Report, I'd have thought it was a headline from "The Onion."

I dunno, I tried to revived a relationship that was deader than that possum for _years_. Not as much a visual, but equally stupid.

Except I was stone cold sober while doing it.

Thanx for all the replies. Holy Mother of F ..., even if you tried you couldn't make up stuff like this.

It really IS INSANITY

You think this is worthy of being a "sticky" since anyone dealing with an alcoholic could benefit from seeing the extent of the INSANITY; perhaps feel better about life and happy to be non alcoholic.

Pitiful and incomprehensible demoralisation is how many of us call a bottom. Some people are willing to go to farther depths then the rest of us though!

Probably just the mood I'm in today, but I am once again so very glad I am not an alcoholic and incredibly sad that if that trying to revive a decaying animal isn't enough for someone to see that they need to STOP, will anything be? how do you come back from a mind that is that pickled? how does any sense get through?
