Just got off the phone with my mediator, and that seems like it's going well, (she feels my documentation and the email evidence that I have amassed will be golden if we ever have to go to custody hearings in court) but even better, I got a return phone call from child services and whilst they would not divulge what their course of action is going to be, they seem like they are taking my concerns very seriously. They are aware of her past and there is ample proof of her current behaviour, that and the seeping back into her life of old bad influences, not to mention her pushing me, my family and my friends (positive influences) out of her life.

All and all I feel a lot less tension today. Like finally there are some professionals on my side who are taking my story as valid and most important no gas lighting.

It's refreshing to be dealing with reality, for just one day.

It's sad though, that I have had to go to these extremes to even feel like I can influence my child's well being.

I do however, feel a little scared, like I am standing up to a bully for the first time. The fallout from her might be difficult, but that's what the mediator is for.

Yes, there might be fallout, but as long as you keep focusing on your child, I am sure you will find the strength.

In my experience duped, what I did or did not do..eventually there was a fallout. So do what is best for you...
