my mother and father (her the alcoholic, him the co) have both said, at different times and in different ways, that they know they can not go back and un-do what has been done in the past, but they can try and be present, and the best parents they are able today. hearing that, and knowing the truth in it, helped me greatly. i sometimes feel sadness over my broken family of origin, and what i "suffered" as a child, but i have forgiven them.

please keep going to al-anon, and coming here. i think it will help you a great deal. just said a prayer for you!

What a merry go round this evening a friend of my daughter's seen the car called to make sure it was her car by making sure it was the right lic. plates. 2 guys got in the car and drove it away.

I called the police 2 days ago. The car was seen in another town. The local police was supposed to notify the police of that town. Needless to say, it's in a town with a real high crime rate. I don't like going there in the day light. Anyone that's ever been to East St. Louis knows how bad it is there!
