Got LMC back from her visit to looneyville yesterday. And as the Universe would have it, the 82nd annual Zilker park Kite festival which is scheduled for the first Sunday in March, was postponed because of rain, till today just for us. Whoo hoo!

It was fabulous, hundreds of kites in the air all at one time. Absolutely splendiferous! HEB, which is a chain of grocery stores, had a kite building tent for the kids and the kites were guaranteed to fly.......boy did they ever.

The down side was lines for the port-a-cans, but the option was to walk very far to the "no line" ones. Found out I'm a walk far for "no lines" kinda guy.

On the way home I was telling LMC, wow you didn't even have to go once, your like a camel, no wait they don't have to DRINK.

She said, I'm a "LEMAC", the opposite of a camel! Very clever 8yo kid I have here!

Too funny about the LEMAC - she's such a smart one!! I'm glad you two had a good time, and I'm glad she's back from looneyville.

What a wonderful way to celebrate your reunion with Little Miss!!
