just sharing update
I talked to my abf ex wife last night for the first time. I finally found out that she has had the same issues with him that i have had. They were married for nine years and he had started drinking not long after they met. We share alot of the same stories with each other. It felt good to know that i am not the only one he has treated so horribly.

Just wanted to say that I also spoke with XAH's previous wife (his third wife to be exact) after my separation from him, and though she and I used to be terribly at odds, we managed to have several civil conversations and share our experiences. Although I'm not looking to be BFFs with this person, it did help to know that we went through the same things, and also to know how she got out of the relationship. She really validated my concerns and clarified a lot of "stories" XAH told me...I consider the experience to be invaluable. I still keep her contact information handy in case my DD someday wants to meet her half-brother.
