Humbled beyond belief...
Hi friends
An amazing thing happened to me this morning, and I wanted to share.
This past Wednesday, after dropping off my 6 year old at school, I took my 2 1/2 year old to a play group. I LOVE this playgroup because there is so much for my little guy to do, AND I get to hang out and chat it up with the other moms in town... Sometimes, I NEED these mornings just to get me out of the house.
Well, I met a new mom this time. She was very sweet and gentle in demeanor, and easy to talk to. She had 4 boys (3 in school and 1 toddler), and I got the feeling that SHE liked these mornings too. We began talking about painting and remodeling (The speckled paint on my hands brought up the conversation LOL), and talked about our boys.
And this morning, as I was dropping my oldest off at school... I was driving away and she flagged me down.
She said she had something for me.
She ran to her car and came back with two plates of homemade cookies that her sons and her made together... and a card.
She said "I KNOW how tedious remodeling your kitchen is, and I just thought you would enjoy these".
I said "How sweet!, thank you", and gave her a hug.
When I got home, I opened the card and was brought to tears...
Inside of this beautifully handmade card, the message read:
"Megan,
Have you ever wondered if you've made a difference in someones life? You have in mine. The thoughts you shared; your heart's desires, covey your inner strength. You motivate me to keep moving, keep smiling, keep loving and take what life dishes out - the good and the bad - and run with it.
Thank you, for being you."
I was awestruck.
I am trying to remember all the things we talked about... I think I shared with her my desire to have one more child; that I've ALWAYS wanted 3 children. And how my husband isn't to "keen" on the idea. I shared a little of the story about my daughter, and how even if I don't have another child, that my little girl in heaven will always be mine, even if I didn't get to KEEP her. I know we talked about the joys and stresses of having boys... and about a lot of other "normal" stuff.
This morning was just an amazing beginning to the day for me. My heart opened up after reading this card... and I can't help but think that my HP brought this message to me, thru the gentle soul of a new friend.
Thanks for letting me share
Take care
Meg

Meg,
Isn't it incredible how our HP works?? He knew exactly how to give you a pick me up when you were least expecting it! What an awsome thing to do..you know what it inspires me to do?? A random act of kindness this weekend or upcoming week...I have a few ideas that I can toss around and see what works..maybe even one might involve my AH and doing something nice for him..just because..with no strings attached...he probably wouldn't know what to do! Plus, I believe we are not kind enough to one another.. Glad it brightened your day!

I'm coming in late on this, but your story touched my heart. There are so many people who make a difference in our lives, and I think it is important to tell them. I'm so happy this lady told you.
And I do hope you will share those cookies here .
Hugs
Ann
