Not sure where I stand on it now. Could have something to do with me abusing alchohol or do I just blame myself for that? I really don't know what to think.
For example, if someone did to me today the things my father did to me when I was a child, they would go to jail for a long time... and quite possibly without all their body parts.

Child abuse no, trauma yes: my mother was killed in a car accident when I was 8, and I was in the car. After that, I was (this is my ex husband's term) "neglected." Oh, I didn't go hungry or anything, but now that I have a child I realize how much I faced by myself when I was entirely too young.
