Thank you so much SR Family. And Thank you Tigger for starting this post!
Spent 37 years dysfunctionally perfect. Sad and Sweet little girl that no one took the time to love, no pity party needed, it was God's perfect plan! A care taker is where I find who I am but I have suddenly realized that no one takes care of me while I focus on all the damage being done. Married to two alcoholics go figure, Dad was. I am dating one now because I am delusioned in thinking that somehow I can "help" him? hahaha The desperation in this relationship has my heart breaking and my head spinning.
Afterall I should know better, I think I know everything, just ask me! Well, here is what I didn't know,
I loose in this game of cat and mouse because I don't make the rules the bottle does.
I am essentially in love with a man who is having an affair with the bottle and I am the threesome.
I will never come first and that hurts!
I need to stop murmuring about his "stuff" and focus on me. uugh.
Well, it is a start but nonthe less I realize it now. I guess I am not there but I have began the journey and thanks to you all I am not alone!
God doesn't ever promise us a life free of difficulties but what he does promise us is that we will not go thru it alone if we call upon him.
