Today was the hearing to get my order of protection extended. I showed up with my sister (who was witness to my state of mind when he was arrested, also heard me screaming when he dissconnected the phone) and my attorney.

He showed up with guess who?? His ex wife!!!

Judge heard all my testimony about incidents that put him in jail.
Then XABF told judge that it was all an unfortunate incident- that he had been trying to break up with me for several months, because I had animosity over finding email from his ex-girlfriend. Also said he (under oath) that he never raised a hand to me- and that I was never in any danger from him.

He also made up story about working on his (bosses) car when he was breaking restraining order and parked behind my house.

Happy to say judge extended OP for one year and admonished him to stay away from my house and me.

I was freaked out. But managed to get through the entire thing without ever looking at him.

could not believe the way he lied- should not have been surprised- he lied to me all the time.

Somehow lies become such a part of our A's lives that I think they actually believe them. Fools the heck out of them when there are witnesses. That's why my STBXAH can't get away with lying about having beat the dog. There are many lies I'm sure he'll get away with. I just thank God your judge granted the OP! Wow!
