as for the vacation, is there any way you can reschedule it? if you told the travel agent that you have to be in court? sometimes, you can reschedule for family emergencies...
my other thought is that perhaps you don't have to be in court, but that a lawyer could represent you? are you positive you yourself must be there?
if it was me, and i had to make a choice, i would skip the holiday and follow thru. if he gets deported, that would remove this threat from your life. believe me, i understand, as mine is still stalking me and i moved out 10 months ago. he has also threatened to "put me in the hospital" and also anyone i might go out with. it's not a nice way to live.
