Question irritable

My abf has been ill and unable to drink the last few days.. I have noticed he has a horrible attitude today. I am really new and still learning about this has anyone else noticed this behavior? He drinks whenever he is stressed or atleast that is the excuse he uses for it to be okay in his mind to drink.

Hi Veracious and WELCOME! Yes, our alcoholics do get irritable when they don't drink. Or when the do. Or just about any time. Are YOU okay?

My bro lives in OR.

My A gets cranky, judgmental, irritable to the hilt if he does not drink, then again after a certain amount of consumption. It is true that most alcoholics are generally miserable. They even discuss this in the AA big book
