Learn to ride horses.
Learn to ride a motorcycle.
Overcome fear of riding motorcycle.
Overcome fear of heights.
Go back to Europe with a romantic partner.

tigger11 11-30-2009 07:13 AM

L2L - how about I teach you how to ride a motorcycle? We'll chick-ride together in a warm climate and check out cool stuff along the way.

Ooh this is a great topic:

I want to have no debt whatsoever.

I want to own a little house someday.

I want to travel to Europe and Asia with my daughter.

I want to dance tango for two weeks straight in the milongas of Bueno Aires.

I want to go back to school just for the fun of it.

I want to find myself a job/career that is satisfying and stimulating.

I want to take my daughter horseback riding.

I want to fix the tattoo I have so it *doesn't* include XAH's initials (doh!).

honoryourself 11-30-2009 01:46 PM

hmm lots of things on traveling here, I'm a HUGE traveler, think about it every day of my life and was lucky enough to spend about 6 months or more traveling and nearly 2 years living abroad.

I DEFINITELY want to do more of that. I thought my AH was someone who loved traveling but apparently he loves drinking, not the culture or life changing experiences. I think he was mostly nodding and smiling when I went on about those things. so...

Travel, live abroad for short periods of time

Spend time with my family, grandparents

Have a family of my own

Maybe own my own business

Keep my life filled with small exciting experiences so no day is ever dull

Laugh a lot, live a lot, love a lot

Volunteer again, it's been a while.. starting to feel like a charity case myself!

I don't know I think there's many more things ...

Did anyone else write a list like this when they were younger? I swear I have one somewhere in my house that I wrote as a 14 yr old or something. It was hilarious. It has silly things like 'sing and dance in the rain' , 'ride a horse' and some naughty things that I hadn't done yet too. haha. I think I was a lot more specific then.. I should try to find this list.

Cucumber2Pickle 11-30-2009 01:59 PM

I would like to sit on a beach somewhere for hours and do nothing.

I would like to spend an entire summer in the south of France and just eat and eat and eat, and read novel after novel after novel!
I'd like to ride a bike from east coast USA to west coast.
I'd like to visit Machu Pichu.
I'd like to visit my family in Ireland with my sons.
I'd like to learn to play the piano...or at least play one thing well on the piano.
I'd like to own a piano!

*sigh*...it's fun to daydream...

I want to take a 10 day cruise. I do not care where it is going I just want to sit on the deck and breathe again. (I think you all know what I mean)

Climb the Pyramids
Drive across the country and stop when the mood hits me.

FreeBird09 11-30-2009 05:40 PM

Just for a twist, I celebrate the things I have accomplished on my list, for example:
* take a vegetarian cooking class with a master chef
* skydive
* scuba dive
* travel through Central America
* become a park ranger
* bed a park ranger ;)
* ride in a helicopter
* solo backpack in grizzly country
* stay in a castle in France

It's nice to stay focused on the positive. :)

Take piano lessons

Attend a religious retreat

Take a driving trip all over the US

Be happy

Win the lottery to share with family, friends, shelters, food shelves, recovery programs, 12 Step programs and more!

I'm really old to get started on these things, but I wish, wish, wish I could have children, with a loving significant other would be nice. Right now, I'm just working on getting a career together (yes, despite my age, I haven't really gotten that worked out)

Tuffgirl 10-25-2011 02:34 PM

I would like to ride on a Virgin Atlantic space flight.
