My sincerest sympathy to you, and lots of hugs too.
Your X, like lots of others, has a built in crap timer which almost ensures that when you are having a bad day, or in the midst of some turmoil, they hit you with some special crap at that particular time.
But ALIMONY...........sheesh. After making your life hell, and driving you to where it was leave him or go nuts, that creep now wants you to keep him in comfort?
He's a better comic turn than they have at The Variety Club. No wonder you woke Kitty laughing at the joke.
Tell him to take his nappie (diaper) OFF, throw away his dummy, grow up and take care of himself at last.
Keep doing what you have been doing, take care of you and do NOT lose your great sense of humour.
