Just wanted to share about my meeting last night.

Before I went, I was still uncomfortable from the UTI, not feeling well physically or even mentally, but I figured that was the very best time to go. I saw my friend (whose house I went to the other night), and he could see I was having a rough time. We talked briefly and said a prayer, which took away a lot of my heavy heart.

I was thrilled to see that the speaker was a friend of mine, a great lady who I really look up to. We actually have the same sponsor. I couldn't wait to hear her story, and it was amazing and shocking! She had come from living on the streets, numerous OD's, psych wards, no family in her life. You wouldn't believe what she is like today, and I very much want what she has. And do you know I sat comfortably through that entire meeting without UTI symptoms? I didn't feel bad at all.

Anyway, not to talk too much about AA in here, but I got my white chip last night. I thought I would be embarassed, but when I got up there everybody clapped and hooted and hollered. Totally feeling the love. And my sponsor said afterwards that I don't ever have to do that again.

And...my friend said that my phone was going to be turned back on today, not by him but by someone else in recovery. I am so grateful, surprised, amazed!!!

I am blessed. :)

Oh gosh, I can't stop bawling like a baby. My phone is back on. I am so grateful and blessed. I may never know who did it, but they have given me a wonderful gift.
