Today started as a bit of a struggle. I felt myself trying to slip into denial....I felt it because I wanted to call ah....I wanted to pretend for just one more day that things were "normal" and then deal with the fact that they aren't, tomorrow.

So, you know what I did? I got myself ready, took my daughter to the pool with baby in tote and spent the day in the sun....I came home, gave everyone a bath and took a shower myself...then a nap!!!

It was a great day because I made a choice not to give into the thoughts that rob me of the sunshine.

Strange thing happened too....I know my screen name is rainbow and I don't know why I picked that.....I am not "into" rainbows or anything....anyway, it rained a quick shower and after, the biggest rainbow came out. I smiled and just knew it was a sign of a job well done!!! It was a beautiful pat on the back.

chugga chugga, I can do this, I am doing this......even if I stumble a bit, I can do this.
