"I want a divorce. Can you help me fill out the divorce papers?"
This is what my life has become. I find it sort of hilarious. My husband needs me to help him leave me.
"Also, can I just work for you because the job market sucks? Oh, and can you pay the rent for my new place?"

Oh yeah, been there done that (except I was the one who wanted the divorce).
"Can I just use your divorce attorney"
"Why do I have to leave? I will just live in the basement"
and it still goes on (even though my answer is always no)
"Will you do my taxes for me?"
"Can I park my motorcycle in your garage?"

This is such a funny post!!! Thank you so much! I REALLY needed a laugh.
Actually, the same thing you are talking about, with the addicted person that was in my life, actually was part of the difficulty of letting him go. I just thought it was so CUTE how he really thought this way! I mean, yeah, the nasty stuff wasn't cute but this part of the personality was like my little puppy dog.
Call me weird...

My ex came over to my house today wanting me to help him with his back tax returns that he hasn't filled in for 10 years.
Also, he has decided he doesn't need to look for a job because he is going to become a professional on-line backgammon player!
They are like little children.

Isn't online gambling illegal? Wouldn't that be considered gambling??

Thanks for the sympathy. He really is in la-la land. Divorcing me is the answer to all his problems, and yet he can't even fill out some papers that are designed to be user-friendly. He keeps asking me, "What are our debts? I have to put our debts!" Oh, so I've been handling our income and finances this whole time, and you wonder why I'm not "fun and spontaneous"?
