I know how you feel. When you say you are really struggling with this affection thing, me too....how can there be any affection when there is so much denial. Yet he blames me for our loveless marriage. Why do they "pretend" everything is o.k. There is no communication...whenever I try to talk about "the problem" he just stops me. He never wants to talk about it. Maybe if I showed him affection he would not drink (he says). I know how you feel about going into a long weekend or an upcoming holiday when we are with family/friends. We never leave together, I know when it's time to leave. Whenever I see the VO come out, I cringe. Something about VO that gets him more angry..."Alcoholic behavior even when not drinking?" I believe alcoholic behavior occurs 24-hours a day especially when not drinking. I hope you can communicate with him this weekend and i'll be interested to see how it went.
