OT-good news!

I had my bone scan this morning, and while I was at the hospital, I asked to talk to the lady who heads up the medical records department. When I first toured the department just before I started college, she told me if I ever wanted to come up and help on a volunteer basis to let her know.

I start tomorrow morning at 8, and she also suggested I contact my academic advisor to see if this would count towards my practicums. I emailed her, and she's already forwarded my email to the clinical coordinator to make the decision. My academic advisor felt that something could be worked out.

So tomorrow I'll start doing chart analysis/assembly, and will be working half days till I see how I handle it with the degenerative disc disease. I am so stinking excited and nervous! :c031:

So you got your foot in the door there, then?

(sorry, couldn't resist, please don't throw hard objects)

Congrats, DeVon!!!!!

Awesome!

Wasn't it you that a month or two ago was - ahem - having moments about flunking a course? Forgive my senility but I think it was you... (If so, then see how things can turn in a few weeks' time...)

At any rate, this is a great opportunity, and foot in the door! (Hey, I just made a pun!)

Still tender and swollen. The results of the bone scan are sent out to a specialist to read, so it will be 2-3 days before I know if I have a stress fracture or not. Thanks for asking. :)

Bet you didn't think it would turn out like this when you were tumbling down the stairs.

I so admire your tenacity!! With a bum foot and all you just keep on truckin' towards your goals. Way to go!!!

Did you say 8 am?? I can't be anywhere but in bed at 8 am. Oh my. Of course, I'm often working up until midnight, so my clock's just wired differently, I suppose.

Good for you hon.....Good step in the right direction. Smiles, Bonnie

Good things come to those who wait! I truly believe in karma or whatever you want to call it. It seems like since I have been doing the right thing, if something negative happens(like when I fractured my pelvis for example) I immediately got some good news. Hmmmm, could it be that we're Blessed?

Hugs,
Judy

Unfortunately, yes! It's going to take some adjustment. My first semester I was up between 5:30 and 6 even though I do all my classes online. Last semester since I had the surgery just before school started, I started sleeping in! Lots of coffee when the alarm goes off in the morning!
