For all those moms striving to make a better life for themselves and for those they love:
A Heroic Mom's Day greeting.

I have read so many heart-rending and heartening stories here. My own mom succumbed many years ago to her disease, and every time I read about a parent who has recovered and/or who is breaking away from the A in their life, I know now that Alice BL was not hopeless - her HP just had other plans for her.

Instead of a smiley, I offer a photo of some flowers atop Mt. Lafayette - one of the highest peaks in the northeast and a place of very high winds and extreme cold. This is a bit of arctic tundra. These are tough and beautiful flowers. They flourish on these high peaks.

Thank you grewupinabarn. I am not a mom yet but I am striving to be the person I know I can be, for my sake and my future family. My mom is heroic too, I will show her your picture. Thank you for the inspiration today. Hugs!!
