Am busy praying for you and your crew Dev. Know how scary it can be, as we have had 2 cyclones close by this year and got 11 inches of rain in 29 hours. May have to build an Ark for next season.
:praying

(((DeVon)))It's now Monday morning. I have the news on,(as usual) and I'm waiting for the reports with more details of tornado(s) that did hit Kansas last night. I pray it didn't hit your area and for the safety of those who were in the path of these tornados.

Please let us know if you're ok.

Saying Prayers,
Judy

We're fine here, just a bit waterlogged. Not sure how much rain we got, but Wichita got 5" total, and we can't be far behind that!

More storms expected mid-week, but hopefully not of the same severity! All good mojo and prayers were much appreciated.

Damp doesn't even describe it! My mop will be working overtime on the kitchen linoleum after doggy potty break in the back yard. It's a mud pit!

Considering ourselves lucky to just have gotten snow last night. Six inches of new snow. On April 27. Sigh.

Pug went outside after breakfast this morning and you could see it in his face: "Snow? It's almost MAY, for heaven's sake. Highly unacceptable. Isn't there someone you can call about this?"

Glad you're okay, DeVon!

I am glad to hear that all you have to deal with right now is a very soggy yard and nothing worse. :sorry

Glad that you didn't come back and announce that you weren't "in Kansas anymore". LOL. My grandparents lived in Topeka and great-grandparents in Witchata so growing up, were were always watching the news for reports on toranados. I'll take a hurricane over a tornado ANY DAY. Those suckers scare me to death!!!

Mrs. Magoo, I'm not too far west of Wichita.

I'll have to dig up that photo a friend photoshopped for me. My neighbor to the east had a crappy metal shed that wasn't anchored properly, and one day our winds were so high it literally blew over my 6' fence and landed in my back yard!

Edited to add pic

LOVE the picture!!!

I'm still amazed that GiveLove's poor little pug had to go out in the SNOW!!! Heck, we've been close to 90 degrees for days, and I'm already whining!

((DeVon)) - still saying prayers. I, too, remember the green color of the sky of a tornado...that and the stillness of the air that would be so unsettling. At least, that's the way it was, here. We were in a "tornado alley" when I was growing up (heck, not far from it, now!) and our house was only missed by about 1/2 a mile. Never ceased to amaze me, the next day, the weather would be absolutely gorgeous..then you could see all the destruction

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

Thank God you are all ok, other than a bit on the soggy side. I see news pictures of your tornadoes and they horrify me with their destruction.
Hope you dry out soon and don't have any more scares of remaking "The Wizard of Oz".

God bless
