I'm glad to be here too!!
It won't take long, just need a little money for milk and gasoline, within the next couple of days. I feel like I want to go to a meeting every day for the support (and come here too).

My BFF is a domestic violence counselor and wants me to go today, but I just don't see how that's possible.
Anything is possible Glenna -- if you are worried about the safety of yourself or that beautiful baby, go to a shelter for a couple of nights if you have to. Lots of times, you will find other resources available you might not know about by being there. You can have some peace. You can rest assured and you can save some $$ while there. I'm not sure how shelters are in the States. Here, they often have other outreach programs available to women who don't even stay in the shelter that can help you. They know about all kinds of available assistance for legal, housing, dental, medical -- you name it.
It sounds like your friend is worried about the danger you may be in -- listen to her, she is the expert and probably is seeing major red flags you might be missing.

Fear of copping worse? Fear of the child being injured? Plain old FEAR. Been there, done that and can easily understand taking it at the time.
