So sad

A couple of hours ago my little brother’s journey ended. He was 38 years old and he died from a heart attack. I miss him so much already.

I'm sorry Lucy.

I lost my oldest friend this week at 38 as well.

It's so so hard when they are so young.

I'm crying with you today.

I've followed your story for a while now and I'm so sorry for you, Joe and the rest of your family. xx

Joe doesn't know yet. He went to stay with his mums family in Wales earlier today, they planned to go to football on Sunday. I'm going to go tomorrow to tell him, it's going to be one of the hardest things I've ever done. I would have gone tonight, but I think it's better to let him sleep and tell him in the morning. He had a good time with his dad at my mums house yesterday, I'm happy their last time together was good, because it hasn't always been that way. I'm going to try to adopt Joe now, that wasn't the way I'd hope things would work out ( for Joe's sake) but I hope it's the best way from now on.

Lucy,

I'm so sorry for this whole thing -- for your sadness, for the poor choices your brother made, for Joe's loss of a father (which actually happened long ago, but you know what I mean).

Hugs to you to get through the next few days and weeks. I know your heart is heavy. I am glad his suffering is over.

Thanks to you all.
I know he's free now, that gives me some comfort, I hated to see him and know he was suffering so much. I saw him tonight and held his hand and told him how much I loved him, he looked so peaceful. I just wish I'd done it yesterday.
