The last couple of weeks were pretty bad. The only good thing now is AH finally had his appointment with the Psy that specializes in alcoholism. Said he liked her and is going back next week. So as of today he had been sober for 5 days. Says he feels good for the first time in a long time. Seems sincere. I have a question, does O'Douls non alcoholic beer still mean that he is drinking? Is it just one step from real beer? Can he do this without going to AA? I am so happy that he is doing this, but he has quit before. I guess thats why they say one day at a time. I am happy for small steps.

I think you'll find different opinions and it probably depends also on the individual. My daughter quit drinking 8 years ago and she has O' Douls now and then. It hasn't hurt her and she says it helps her to stay sober. I'm happy with that.
