I'm having trouble finding an alanon meeting. I mean I found the website for the Metro Detroit Al-anon organization, and the site lists meetings....but none of the information on the site has been updated since 2005. So I e-mailed them to ask if the meeting info was still valid, and the e-mail account is no longer valid. I'd call the phone number, but the site says their offices are only open M-W.

Is there another way to find a meeting? I suppose I could just show up to the location for the meeting I wanted to attend next week and hope it's still there....any other suggestions?

Look for AA or Alanon in your phone book. They should be able to direct you to the right place.

Thanks....I'll have to do that when I get home. Thankfully for once we kept the phone books when we moved in last year. We've been throwing them out for years because we never touched them, thanks to the internet.

Office hours are:
12pm - 8pm on Monday
8am - 5pm on Tuesday

Hmmm....also found this on same web site...not sure which page was updated more recently

Office hours are Mondays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesdays - Fridays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office is currently located on Research Drive in the Freeway Industrial Park, south of Ten Mile Rd., between Halstead and Haggerty in Farmington Hills. That's the problem I'm having....if you look in their News section you can find that their bi-monthly newsletter hasn't been updated since Jan/Feb 2004, and their Current Events doesn't have anything on it past April 2005. I haven't tried the phone numbers yet, as I'm at work, but maybe I'll try this evening just to see if they still belong to Al-anon.
