Rescue Me!
God is our Lighthouse and when He is in our life the storm calms down. Let Him be your Safe Harbor today.
In the past, I always used to look for relationships with women who would save me from myself. You know, "make this fixer-upper a real gem". That's pretty sick thinking. Only my Higher Power can truly save me from myself and my misery. Even though suffering is a human condition--misery is optional. Today, I'm surrounded by the beautiful and brave women in Al-anon, who put me in my place when I deserve to be. (whether that's good or bad). Nobody can fix me. As long as I keep myself in the middle of the fellowship (both AA & Al-anon), my chances of hitting the rocks are significantly reduced. I might reach the safe harbor after all.

I'm slowly rediscovering myself like your title says, Justaboutus. Chip off a few of the rough edges with my handy-dandy HP grinder, and I'll start to shine a little! Hehehe.
