OT-could use some good thoughts...

I posted in the pain management forum yesterday about some health issues, and I have a couple of prescriptions to pick up, but won't have the money for that until tomorrow.

My blood pressure is still high, I don't feel well, and have to get work done in my college classes today.

I've got a horrible headache I'm trying to ignore, and would just appreciate some good thoughts/prayers to get through this until I get my meds tomorrow and get my blood pressure down.

You certainly have my best thoughts and blessings.

I am sorry that such a fine person as you should have this struggle.

Have you ever applied for assitance with your medications. That is the only way I am able financially to stay on my meds.

There is one that is pretty liberable with income limits...I think (offhand) it is RX outreach.
Almost all mine come directly from the pharmeceutical companies.

Yes, I actually get my Cymbalta directly from Lilly now. Since I am fighting for my disability, I get a limited medical card from social services, so they have a $3 co-pay on scripts. The other script is a short-term muscle relaxer, and was only 10.50, but money is really tight right now. It's a $4 script through Walmart, but I have to drive 40 miles to get to a Walmart, so it's not worth the drive.

I did email two of my college instructors today and asked for extensions on assignments because of the health issues.

Hopefully they will agree and that will take some of the mental pressure off of me till I start my meds and get the pain/BP under control.

I already got an extension from my microcomputer aps instructor-she's a really nice lady. I'm still waiting to hear from the other one, but I'm fairly sure she'll give me an extension too.

I've just taken it real easy today and have managed to keep the headache to a tolerable roar.

Thank you everyone so much for your well wishes. :ghug

PS. My zoo crew is a terrific nursing staff! They can all sense when I'm not feeling well.

Heya Freedom--
:praying for smooth pain-free days ahead!

I always check in with Louise Hay's "Heal Your Body" when I am ill - so I looked up "headaches" and I thought oh, my, am I gonna share that with Freedom???? Then I thought well laughter is the best medecine so here goes:

Problem: Migraine Headache

Probable Cause: Dislike of being driven. Resisting the flow of life. Sexual fears (can be relieved by masturbation).

New Thought Pattern: I relax into the flow of life and let life provide all that I need easily and comfortably. Life is for me. (do you say that before or after masturbating, I'm not sure!!! LOL)

Here's the one for straight-up Headache:

Probable Cause: Invalidating the self. Self-criticism. Fear.

New Thought Pattern: I love and approve of myself. I see myself and what I do with eyes of love. I am safe.

No happy ending with that one but a little affirmation can't hurt!!

Hope you're back in the saddle soon-
Peace-
B.
