I don't know you, BUT if you're anything like me you'd have felt a whole lot more guilty if you knew he'd killed someone and you hadn't called.
I can live with knowing my brother isn't allowed to drive for a year, and had to pay a fine, and that his son is still safe and other innocent people are safe too. I'd be feeling pretty messed up if I'd known he was going to drive my nephew 100 miles at a time of day when I knew he had no chance really of being sober and did nothing about it.
Hold your head up, you still did protect him, maybe you saved his life, who knows?
