Great news LTD! You are very tenacious doing the work yourself. I wonder sometimes why I am paying an attorney as I feel I am doing most of the heavy lifting by myself anyway. But, my STBXAH is NOT sober and is NOT rational -- and really it is "priceless" for me to not have to deal directly with him and try to explain any of the settlement issues. We had a settlement conference in late May, and for some reason there has been no progres since then (because AH and/or his attorney' strategy seems to be to stall -- don't know what they hope to accomplish by that). My attorney just got back from his honeymoon (no I don't understand why a divorce attorney gets married, and this is his 2nd - maybe 3rd time)! I hope someday in the NEAR future I will be sharing my good news as well.

Congrats LTD! That's fabulous news- and I am also impressed you did it yourself.

I am, unfortunately, married to a lawyer- who is representing himself in our divorce, so I hired my own. I think she's great, but dang expensive! Oh well- hopefully money well spent.
