I miss you guys!

Just wanted to pop in and say Hi!! I miss you all so much and all the wonderful and caring support you all provide

So much has changed in the last month. If you look back through my posts I talk about reunification with my son. Three weeks ago after his A and abusive Dad told him he could not see me, he finally decided to come and live with me. I'm so very proud of him for standing up for himself.

I've been very busy learning how to be a Mom again and just spending a lot of time with him! I'm the happiest I have been in a very very long time!! I'm so happy to have my son back in my life!!

I hope everyone is doing well and I miss you all!!

Hey, Lex - I'm sort of in and out of here myself. So good to hear you are doing well. I am, too -very happy and enjoying my new life. We did it!

Incredible about your son being back with you. I am loving living near my kids again (they are both in their 20s but they are still my babies!).

Thanks for checking in with us! RosieM

I'm glad you posted finally! Missed you Lex. Are you and your son adjusting to each other again? I remember you saying you had a tough time in the beginning since it had been awhile since seeing him. I'm praying for you both! (((HUGS)))

Well it wasn't planned and he was only going to stay for a few weeks, but since has decided he'd like to stay and attend his last year at a public school and be a "normal kid." He will be starting football in August and I'm scrambling around trying to get all his transcripts and paperwork ready.

We are getting along good and I'm just so happy he is here with me and safe. I'd like to eventually get him into counseling so he can deal with some of the issues that he won't talk to anyone about. He's been through so very much and I'm just trying to be supportive and as loving as I can for him.

Parenting a teen is a lot different then parenting a child. Wow! I'm sooo overprotective! LOL!

Thanks for all the kind words, you all are wonderful!!:ghug:ghug

Wow! What a change! How wonderful for you to have your son with you. And yes, parentling a teen is way different. But he is also where you can have an adult relationship building. I am so happy for you.

Man, Lex, this is awesome news for you and your son. This whole "God's time" and "His plan" is amazing me constantly! Your journey brought you here, the choices you made for yourself prepared you to be in a good place so that your son felt living with you was the right choice for HIM. Congrats and good luck with your high-schooler!

You all are so amazing! Thank you for all your kind words and prayers!! I'm still dealing with some hurdles with his A Father and their church. They seem to be sorta stalking my son and I.

I'm just enjoying the time with him sooo much! I'm totally amazed how much he can remember growing up when he was living with me.

He will be starting football in September and I can't wait to be able to watch him play!
