Its a done deal. The hearing lasted less than 1 minute. LOL Definitely anticlimatic! xAH did not show up. So, stress free and accomplished quickly.
Wow! What a load off my shoulders!

Thanks to you all for your support and presence with me in that court room. Everything I have gone through in the past year has been much easier for the support, wisdom and indeed love I have found in this forum. :ghug
Barbara-
Today truly is the first day of the rest of your life. I'm glad to hear that it went smoothly. Since the weight is off your shoulders and you feel so much lighter, perhaps a little dance? I'll dance with you! (Picture me in my robe with wet hair right now.....I'm dancing to beat heck!)
big hugs!

Wow! Today is a day for good things. We received an offer on the house! Now, its too low to cover the loans on it but they are open to negotiating. So, send out those prayers and good thoughts. It would be wonderful to get this last bit taken care of!

That's great news times two. I saw a neat idea while driving to work this morning. The car in the lane beside me had the words "Just Divorced" painted in white letters on the back windshield along with a red heart with a broken arrow piercing it and drops of blood. The passenger's window said "Divorce Party 2008." The only thing missing was streamers and cans tied to the rear bumper. I looked over at the woman in the car and laughed out loud. It made my day!
I know you live in my area. That wasn't you in that car this morning by any chance, was it? Come on, fess up, Babs.

Naw, that wasn't me. I shoulda though!
I just looked out my window and there is a double rainbow over DC right now! How lovely it is! What a wonderful omen for the future.
Hmmm, maybe I ought to go buy a lottery ticket.

I'm late on this, but since my friends at SR are ALWAYS in my prayers, I had you covered!
Sounds like an awesome day...the rainbows are just HP's way of saying "you GO girl!!!!"
Hugs and prayers!

Barb: Wow. What a day to log on here and see your post. (I've been hiding in a giant shame bubble the past 6 weeks, but I'll pull my head out shortly)
What a long, strange trip it's been for you. So much fear and sadness over so many things (his health, the insurance mess, the house, etc.) So glad you finally have this new beginning in your life.
Never too late to press the reset button, right?
Hugs, D9
