update on the update
Last week i posted here pretty upset, that my xab had contacted me after 5 months, to let me know that he was in trouble and in court on Friday (6thjune) and that he would be going to prison.
I decided not to contact his family to find out what had happened to him and i found this SO hard ,but boy am i glad i never.
Today i was told that he'd been seen in his hometown on the bus on Sunday.
What a waste of energy!!! what a waste of my days!!
BUT what a good lesson to learn. His life is his, and my life is mine.

Sometimes it's good to get a peek at things to reinforce what we already know is true.
Once I have my thinking straight, my gut feelings are usually right on the money; it seems that is the case for you. I'm glad you didn't invest any more of your time and emotions on his nonsense.
