Irony At It's Best!
 

Hi everyone! I haven't been around much but wanted to say that a year ago today was the day that J walked in and said he wanted to "take a break" and all hell broke loose for me! Well i met this really nice guy on Match (different than the red flag one) and we have a date TONIGHT! Maybe it's a good sign that things are really looking up for me these days!

What a difference from me today than a year ago today when i was in a puddle of misery and so distraught! For those who are newbies and those that are having a hard time, i post this to say that recovery DOES happen, it may take a while but it eventually does get better. I was the perfect example when i came here to say that i would NEVER get over J. We will ALL make it to the other side :)

P.s. Oh and by the way, we have the same birthday on June 19th! How cool is that! Although I'm the older woman lol!!!

Only by 2 years, but he commented on him being younger and i told him that ya that's fine, but i look younger lol!!!

That is so true! It's funny because my friends are married and they are BOTH adopted so we joke about being brother an sister!!

awesome, heather! i love that you can tell that you've grown so much over the past year. sometimes it's obvious to the rest of us, but you might not feel it yourself - so i'm glad you do!!

the people on this board are the best. even when we don't believe we can do something, they believe in us and give so much support... so that we can come back a year or several years later and say, look how much progress i've made!

It was the best date i have ever had :) We met for dinner and had so much to talk about! He's coming to softball on Wed....good lord now i'm going to have to suck in all game lol!!!!
