My husband is going to rehab today! Please help!
 

My husband is checking into Cornerstone of Recovery in Tennessee. Can anyone here tell me anything about this place. As his wife, what can I expect. Are there meetings, visits, phone calls. Tell me anything that may help me. Knowledge is power!

They prob. have a websight for you to get answers.
Call them to see if family program is included, like so many other treatment ctrs.
If you haven't already, get yourself into recovery through al-anon. If you really get involved with this program and work it for yourself, it will change your life. Keep your FOCUS now on yourself. Let him be selfish (even some more) bec for recovery to work it has to be his TOP priority now.
It truly bec a family disease. So learn all you can abt. addiction and your own self in this process. Yea, this is a great moment...that your family has a chance, has hope and the possibility for change.

I agree with SS-and I would really IMHO try to worry about you! It appears he is going to start recovery for himself-which a huge step! Keep the focus on yourself and learn what you can do for YOU!

I just checked out the website and they do have family programs. If you are able to attend, take advantage of them! The best hope for continued sobriety is if all family members are on the same page and in recovery.

I wish the best for you and your husband. Recovery is a process not an event.
