Been involved with her for going on 17 months. Lots of ups and downs, the old roller coaster ride. I do owe her a lot, she was the catalyst for getting me in the program, but it isn't like I can actually repay her for that, and she's firmly stuck in that binge drinking and doing whatever mode-I shudder to think about it-when I'm not around. I guess what really brought it all home was spending time with my Mom at the hospital, Mom the bipolar alcoholic. she went off the deep end and lost control of her affairs, so she basically just got heavily medicated. I had a strong flash about what the so would look like down the road, and it depressed the hell out of me. So, after spending a somewhat unpleasant weekend with her and her kids at a ski resort, watched her draw away while she plans HER weekend, I think I am handling this the way I should, if she wants to push I'm not going to pull. Maybe i'm not looking for advice, just a place to dump.

I know when I have an Aha! moment like your flash of insight into what the future will/could look like, I trust them. They are usually spot on. Trust your gut.
