Have had enough

I suppose I just need to vent today. I despise alcohol!!!!! My husband who has never admitted to having a problem stopped drinking for the past 11 months or so he says. We the past month he is drunk everyweekend. He has his own business and has done well as a functioning alcoholic.
He has no drivers license lost it to an impaired, he has two priors but beat the charge in court paid a high price lawyer. This time he wasnt so lucky. Our business is in huge financial trouble, personally we are too. My son is a drug addict. Everything is falling apart and he has started drinking again. Oh its only the weekend soon it will be back to the way it was.
He is a good man but when he has a couple he is an idiot!!!! he says everyone else like him when he drinks. The everyone else are alcoholics.
No everyone talks behind his back and laughs at him. His most recent stint is to go out and have a few drinks with my AS son unbelievable. My tolerance is gone. Yesterday he went to move some furnitutre he came home drunk and proceeded to turn on a porn. I am so grossed out I could puke!!!!!!
Im angry and fed up with him and his crap. What kind of a man would go out with his addict son for a few drinks. His excuse is hes going to drink any how.

Hi katie my xab loved taking his addict son drinking, SICK. and everytime it would end up in the both fighting with each other or with someone else. I used to tell him, it's like giving my asthmatic daughter a cigarette, wasted words. Look after yourself Katy this must be heartbreaking for you.

Katie 44,
Most importantly, how are you doing? Please go to alanon, and take care of yourself. You are not with your husband or son, you are with people who are altered by alcohol and drugs, not the people that they really are. Have you ever thought about detaching from them and building a life for yourself. Cleaned up, locked up or covered up, that is the only 3 options these 2 loved ones have.

Gentle hugs to you Katie. Take care of yourself. Do something really really nice for yourself today. It sounds silly (or at least it did to me the first time someone said that to me) but it does help you feel better.
