AMEN for Calmness!! That's what came to mind for me with "C". My life has taken on such a great Calmness since all of this change & recovery began last year. I'm so thankful for my new, calm and peaceful life.

Back to "A" for me since I jumped on late:
AWAKENING - after my first year of recovery from life with an alcoholic, it's finally all started to make sense to me. I am in a new state of awakening and feeling so much better. LIFE IS GOOD!!

Hip Hip Hooray - Today my son completed the 1st week of his long-term inpatient program and his counselor called to report that he does want to live life differently and is following directions to do so.
Honestly looking at my shortcomings and asking for them to be removed
Higher Power- I have come to accept that there is a power greater than myself.

Awe...I am in awe of the positive human condition that I see in this forum. Thank you all for being so uplifting honest and helpful.

Anger: accepting that it's alright to have feelings like anger and to let it out by punching a pillow or throwing eggs into the tub...
