Got a e-mail from my ex saying all kinds of BS, he said that he was sorry that he has not called the kids because of his guilt and that he has used drinking as a escape and hide even further. He asked me to tell the kids what is going on that, he couldn't get any presents but that going into rehab was the "the best present he could give them after all" Again I see this that it is all about him, easing his guilt. I had to e-mail him back... Told him that I felt once again it was all about him and that I would tell the kids nothing and that sorry was not good enough. And that was that. In my heart I hope he gets better but my head is saying be careful, do not believe what you hear.

Kermit, I am really happy for you because you saw it and didn't subscribe to his antics. You are so strong! You sound really good. I am sorry that it is hard right now. Unfortunately we learn to be cautious around our A's and not believe...until we see their actions.
