1. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
* It'll be a very small tree this year as there is so little room in my new house. So, I will buy a tree in a pot and decorate it with mini lights and tinsel. I am going to hang all my glass ornaments in the picture window (no blinds there) so we can still enjoy them that way.
2. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
* The Christmas fruitcake covered with marzipan and royal icing which my family has made for 3 generations now.
3. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
* Probably baking aforementioned cake and "stirring in a wish" before it gets poured into the pan.
4. What tops your tree?
*Lights and tinsel this year.
5. What is your favorite Christmas song?
* Joy to the World
6. What is your favorite Christmas story?
* The Nativity but The Snowman makes me feel nostalgic too because it came out when my two adult sons were very young and we watched and re-watched it for a few Christmases in a row.
7. Favorite Christmas movie?
* The Snowman and the first Home Alone movie.
8. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
* White!!!
9. Egg nog or hot chocolate?
* Neither....a cup of strong tea with milk
10. Three words you would like Christmas to be?
* LOL...that implies I can control Christmas! Christmas IS peace, love and hope.

This year most of the decorations are new on a new fake tree. So they all match in colors (green, red and silver) Usually its a mishmash. And will be again once I get all the old decorations back.
2. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
Everything!
3. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Trying to hide presents form the kids and wrapping them so they can't tell by looking what each package is.
Getting together with family on Christmas Eve and going to midnight service.
4. What tops your tree?

1. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
My tree is usually decorated in gold, red and silver. I put up baulbles, stars, ribbons, angels anything I love! As most of my decorations are cheap plastic ones from my first xmas living alone, each year I buy one or two special ones to replace the old. I have a glass Mickey Mouse head wearing a santa hat, a 4 inch Minnie Mouse, a snowman with a bell for a bottom, and a few my daughter has made at school over the years. This year I purchased two from a charity for children here in UK that are made from wool.
2. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
I love Stollen! If you haven't tried it or know what it is, it is a delicious cake made with yeast, water and flour. It has dried fruits, citrus peal, almonds, marzipan, cinnamon and doused in icing sugar. I love it with pouring cream! Very, very unhealthy but hey, it is the holidays!
3. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
I love christmas eve. Each year we have sausage meat and onion baps for our tea, have our baths and put on brand new pjs, sit in the living room in front of a nice hot fire and allow the children to open one present. All the stress is over, the meat is cooked and the kitchen spreads a great aroma through the house. I relax and just look forward to the morning.
4. What tops your tree?
I have a fairy made of pottery, like a traditional doll. She is dressed in white lace and has brown curly hair.
5. What is your favorite Christmas song?
I cannot remember the name, or who sang it but...
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping at your nose,
Yule tide carols being sung by a choir and folks dressed up like eskimos,
Every body knows, that turkey and some mistletoe,
All help to make the season bright,
Tiny tots with their eyes all a glow, will find it hard to sleep tonight.
They know that Santa's on his way,
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh,
And every mother's child is gonna spy,
to see if reindeer really know how to fly.
And so I'm offering this simple phrase, to kids from 1 to 92,
All though its been said, many times, many ways...
Merry Christmas to you!
Always makes me well up with tears of joy.
6. What is your favorite Christmas story?
The little Match Stick girl - Hans Christian Anderson. So moving and it has always helped me appreciate that their our those without at christmas who should be welcomed into our hearts and who deserve our benevolence.
7. Favorite Christmas movie?
Miracle on 34th street.
8. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Gotta be white for me, totally classic!
9. Egg nog or hot chocolate?
I'm a hot choc girl!
10. Three words I would like Christmas to be?
Loving, peaceful and happy.

ARL sure you can control your own Christmas in a way-
These are great everyone! More More More.....
That begun with my mum, every year we would get our one present on christmas eve and it was always new pjs! She would've washed all our bedding too despite everything she had done during the day. I still carry the tradition now, as does my sister!
