both my parents and both my brothers are alcoholics
i am the youngest and an alcoholic also.
i'm the only one who has sought help willingly.
all of us have had DUIs except my mom.
we're quite a crew!
but right now i'm the only one sober.
i am only really worried about one brother because he drives while drinking with his little daughter in the car. he could lose EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is there ANYTHING i can say to get through to him? i nonchalantly mentioned the other day "i just wish you wouldn't drink and drive with Kaylee in the car" and just continued talking about other things..........but i know he heard me. he is terribly stubborn and arrogant (imagine that!!!). i know i can't change his behavior, nobody can.............

No nothing you say to him will make a change. You do have the option of calling the cops when you know he is driving drunk. Let them impose the very justified consequences.
Congrats on getting sober!

i live 10 states away from my brother so i dont' know exactly when he's doing it.
when we on the phone yesterday i told him i'd not had a drink for over a month and he said, when are you going to quit smoking? i should tell him i'll quit smoking when he quits driving drunk with my neice in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my other brother drinks and drives too. my dad has stopped. my mom never did.
my only reason is that i live in New York and use public transportation and have no car. well, my reason NOW is that i don't drink any more. but you see what i mean.
