this time last year we were all discussing purchasing a christmas ornament to symbolize our recovery.....which was mazeys idea.

it's that time again......anyone interested in participating to honor sober recovery and our own prescence here?

i had onemade last year by a glass worker friend of mine, but in honor ofmazey, who wanted a soldier.....for how we march on....i bought a soldier too.

i think mike made a butterfly....the symbol of al-anon.

any ideas? anyone intersted? do we want to purchase the same agreed upon theme of ornament, or just buy one that has special meaning to ourselves?

Love the idea! I like fairies because they remind me that life should be fun.
The soldier idea is great too. Really just up for anything to remind me of the things that I have learned here so far.

I have an idea... What about some type of dove to symbolize the peace we strive for. I love doves they are kind and peace loving.

How neat it would be all holiday season as I look at my ornament to know that my SR family have similiar ornaments!!

I like the all suggestions - maybe we could start where if we don't use one idea this yr - we use it for the next yr?

In a few yrs, we could have "recovery" themed decorated trees!!
