Time to spread my wings and learn to fly

I have outgrown my ‘need’ to isolate. Although that behavior did serve a very useful purpose for awhile, I have progressed to the point that it no longer does.

This past August was my first huge step at ‘going out in the real world’. Since then, I’ve also met a couple of nice new people along the way. Although most of it was very positive, it has become clear that is was a little ‘too gradual’ as I have become very restless lately (and I believe that’s a good thing)!

The next step is for me to fly…solo. Therefore, I’m taking a temporary LOA from the safe and nurturing environment of the ‘SR nest’. Even though I won’t be here for awhile, I know won’t be alone. See, I’m taking all of you with me as I put into practice everything that I have learned from you, and about myself, these past couple of years. So, thanks to all of you for helping me get my wings ready!

I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers everyday.

Till we meet again... :a194:

ICU...you will be missed! Thanks so much for all your posts to me in all my rough spots! Know that I am with you in spirit as you move into your "butterfly" stage. Fly with all the beauty and elegance you deserve! When you are ready, let us know how great and happy you are!

Much hugs and happiness to you!

You will, indeed, be missed simply because your recovery has been such a light to those who need the beacon to lead them out of the darkness.

But...that is exactly why what you are doing is a healthy thing. Recovery is all about growth and finding our wings, as you have found yours.

Please know that your seat is always here and we are here too, cheering you on as you make this leap of faith. May your life be filled with the many blessings of recovery and the knowledge that you are loved.

Hugs

You were the one who taught me a better way to say fake it til you make it.

"Faith it til you make it"

I love it and practice it daily :)

Will miss you!

That is so beautiful ICU, it just about made me cry. May your flight be the most enjoyable time of your life. It has been an honor to share your journey and thank you for the light you've shed on all of our paths.

I sure understand where you're coming from but you better check in from time to time :)

How do you get a bunch of codies in an uproar? Disappear w/ no word....

ICU...thank you for all the help you have been to me. I am happy to hear you are coming back into your own (no surprise, there ;) ).

I hope you'll stop back from time to time to update (and provide encouragement) us on how much better life can be at the end of this tunnel!

:)

I hope you stop in at Pooh Corner in your travels and find an endless supply of honey. I'll miss you.
