I like this straight-forward thinking...think I will "borrow" it,too! Can't do it exactly (we share two children, amoung other things) but it is a good thing to consider while trying to break the habit of contact for non-essentials.

I am hoping that with time, this will all come more naturally to me. In the meantime, I need structure to keep me safe. In my work they are called SOPs - standard operating procedures.
No contact at all outside work
Fleeting thoughts of pity - need to go for a walk
I don't have to be Mrs Nice at work. If I am cranky so what? - get another job.
I don't like him so why talk about the weather?
Very little or no eye contact
It is possible to get through many hours without having to look at him
Barbed wire was invented for just such a situation
hehe
