Straying from the first person
Since the thread was closed, I'd like to offer a comment here, on this new thread.
Even in Al-Anon, where I learned the first person "rule," questions are asked. As in "how's that working for you;" or "have you considered ...."
My personal take is that the trouble begins with the "you shoulds."
